Tested: Avéne & Biore

Biore Self-Heating One Minute Mask

The minute I started to rub the product into my face it started to self-heat which feelt amazing on my skin.
I used it before going to bed. All that is required is a wet face , and 1 minute is truly enough for it to make a visible effect. After washing it off my face with a luewarm water, my skin felt really clean and fresh.
I love the use of charcoal in the mask as it hydrates the skin and removes all the dirt and toxins. This product is definitely one that comes on my  re-purchase list.

Avéne
Cleanance Cleansing Gel is especially for sensitive oily blemish-prone skin. Mine is not like that so it caused a bit of dryness but not that much as to quit using it. I rather paid more attention to hydration than usual because the feeling of 'clearness' after using it really convinced me. :)

But if you have dry skin, this product is definitely not for you.
What I found a bit strange was that it is a soap-free product but smells like soap. I like the smell of soap so it does not really disturb me but  I was a bit surprised.I just did not expect the smell of soap in a soap-free product.  :)

How about you? Have you tested any new products recently?
Any recommendations?

Thanks for stopping by.

Stretch Mark Combat On!

I think almost every woman is afraid of stretch marks.

I am as well. Exactly that is the reason why I use several products simultaneously. :)

I know that it might seem stupid because this way I will not be able to say which product was the one that helped but I hope that their effects add up together and will work wonder. :)

First I started to use Schussler, in the early stage of my pregnancy I thought that no oils were essential (yet).

Later I received a bottle of Bi-Oil from my sister who thinks that it is a wonderful product for almost all your skin problems.

Then, as I mentioned my husband several times that I am afraid of stretch marks, I received two different products from him: Mama streifenlos body oil by Bellybutton with grape seed oil and Mama massage oil by Penaten with soy oil and lecithin.

Later on, my sister read an article about a product that promised no stretch marks and contained royal jelly. As our father is a bee-keeper, we believe in everything  with honey, royal jelly or propolis. :) So she bought me Mamma Bee's belly cream.

Until now I have no stretch marks which is promising but my pregnancy is not over. I hope that I will be lucky enough to write down the same sentence after giving birth. :)

How about you mothers and mothers-to-be?

What is your secret wonder method against stretch marks?

Thanks for reading.

Tested ... Neutrogena Hydra Boost, Essence blush, Alverde Volume

For today I brought you a post about products I have purchased and tested recently.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Cleansing Wipes: It is a FANTASTIC product. Until now I have only used body and hand lotions by Neutrogena. I was satisfied with them every time. I was not afraid to be dissatisfied this time, either, but I did not expect the product to be so perfect. It gives what it promises: It removes make-up to 100 % and gives hydro boost for your skin. If your skin is not very dry, you can even go to bed using only this product. I would really recommend you having it on your bedside table for nights you don't feel like going to the bathroom and following your usual evening beauty routine. Using this product will leave your skin totally dehydrated.

 Essence bubble blush:

Lovely colours, easy use. You only need your hands to use it, so it is perfect when you are in a hurry in the morning.  And the result lasts quite long.

 Terra Naturi Extreme Volume:
I like that Terra Naturi products are not expensive and are totally green. In my opinion this is especially important in case of products you use around your skin. However, this mascara is not the best I have ever used. A big + is that it  does not make my eyelashes sticky or heavy but the result is not  what I call extreme volme.

How about you? Have you ever used any of these products? What new products have you tested recently? What can you recommend? What was a diasppointment?

Thanks for stopping by.

Tested - Dove Derma Spa

Happy Monday Everyone,

I hope you had a nice weekend. Mine was quite busy with some  plumbing works done in the house and this week won't be more relaxing, either. But by the end of the week the baby's room will get painted. I am so excited. :)

For today I brought you a review of two products tested lately:

Dove Nourishing Care In Shower Argan Oil and Derma Spa Goodness Body Lotion

Shower Oil

My skin is not dry (Thanks God), still, I love using body oils and shower oils, especially in the winter. Since I am pregnant it has become even more important for me, as I try to do my best to prevent stretch marks.  The odour is really pleasant, not to intensive I love the extra moisture this product gives my skin. This shower oil contains Moroccan Argan Oil which I think is really-really efficient.

Body Lotion

This product is one of the products in the "Derma Spa Goodness" family. The fragrance is very mild but lasts quite long.  It has a note of vanilla with citrus, ginger and apple.
After using it, my skin feels smooth and soft. This body lotion is also targeted for dry skin. As I do not have dry skin, I was a bit worried if it was absorbed quickly but I had no problems with it  and love the way my skin feels afterwards (no greasy feeling!).

You may have realized by now that I usually love Dove products and it is not any different with these two products, either. They are totally worth the price.
Fortunately, they  did not cause any kind of irritation or redness. They are suitable for sensitive/dry skin but also very nice for normal skin in the winter when your skin needs extra care.

How about you? Have you tried any of these poducts? What were your impressions?

Thanks for stopping by.

If you are interested in further product reviews, you can read some here, here and here.

Tested ...Nivea & Jimjams

For today, I brought you two beauty products, tested lately:

Jimjams' Black Soap and Nivea's BB cream

Jimjams Black Soap  is a Facial Cleanser with ichtyol and levander oil. To tell you the truth, I started using it after a visit by my beautician, so the poduct had a big advantage.

However, I do not think that this is the only reason why I love it.

This product cleanses deep and is able to remove all your make-up.

I use it in the evening and in my case it is enough. Maybe for those with oilier skin morning-evening use is essential.

I always liked body care products by Nivea that is why I always give their facial products a try.

However, I am usually not amazed by the end result.

The first time I applied it, I was surprised how difficult it was to put it on and to dispel.

I did not use a primer, setting powder or setting spray so the second disappontment was that it started to fade away very quickly. It lasted only a few hours and started to fade away.

As of regards to coverage, I would say it is light, it evens the skin tone but does not conceal problems zones very much. However, it gives a natural and "no makeup" look.

All in all, if you need a BB creme that does not need to last long or give good coverage, it might be something for you. Otherwise, look for another product.

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read my post.

It is highly appreciated.

Make Space!

Do you ever feel  overwhelmed when packing your case or organizing things to store in your house?

Well, as for me, it is not my favourite pastime activity. My mother taught me to clean my wardrobe and house after each season but finding the space to store clothes, deco, etc., until the next season can be quite tricky.

As I tend to use the same products almost every day in a given season, today I am sharing with you how I store them. I bought this see-through open box a few years ago and have loved it ever since.

As I do not use many products, it is enough to store the most essential ones. I love the open concept as it makes things even easier in the morning when I am almost still asleep when getting into the bathroom. :)

At the end of the seasons I always check if I can keep a product for the next season and when not, I drop it.

I know it seems to be easier to only have the products in one corner of your bathroom or wardrobe until the next season but a well organized beauty box or wardrobe is quintessential to a good start in the morning. This is why I immediately loved the idea of makespace, when I was first introduced to their services.

It doesn't matter how much stuff you want to get stored for a while, they will pick them up,  find the right storage space and bring things back whenever you want them to. It does not matter, if it is only a few summer clothes or loads of stuff, they bring their green boxes and take them to store when filled.
And on top of that, you can do everything online.

The following self storage  locations might be useful for you to find your local helpers.

How about you? How do you store your beauty products?
Some good advice always helps. :)

Eos - Equilibra - Uriage

Equilibra Aloe Deo Stick

When my last deo was empty I just rushed into the drug store and  grabbed Equilibra's  Aloe Deo Stick randomely. I had never heard of it or read reviews of it before. I just liked the idea that it contained aloe vera and was free of alcohol, parabens and alumynium-chlorid.
And since I first tried it, I am obsessed with it.  Its smell is really nice as the only odour you can smell is that of aloe. It works really well all day long so I am really satisfied with it.
Definitely something I will re-purchase. My new fav product.

Uriage Eau Thermale

Earlier I used a thermal water spray by Vichy for quite a long time.  Although I was satisfied with it, I wanted to try something new. I use it when I feel that my skin is dehydrated during the day, when I feel that I spent a bit more time on the sun than I should have done or when the air in the office is too dry. It proved well in all these situations. It really hydrates and soothes as promised on the bottle.
This product was worth the try.

Eos Pomegranate Raspberry Lip Balm

I had heard and read a lot about eos products before I purchased my first one. To tell you the truth, I chose the pomegranate and raspberry one because I liked the colour. I was also happy to read that this lip balm is 95% organic, and paraben- and petrolatum-free.
What I am not totally satisfied with is that it promises "soft and sensationally smooth" lips. As the purchase price was three times as much as that of the lip balm I normally use, I thought that the effect will also be much better. But that was not the case. The effect on my lips was approximately the same.  Don't get me wrong, I think it is a great product but because of the higher price I expected something "sensational". However, this might as well only mean that I purchased it in an overpriced shop. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Dove Derma Spa

The last time I used self-tanner was at least 10 years ago and it wasn't a great experience. So when I was bombarded with Dove Derma Spa summer revived's ads, I did not really feel tempted to buy it.
On top of that, summer came really slow these year. We had a few wonderfully sunny days back in April but then it went back to 12-14 grades  for weeks and weeks. So when the weather forecast promised 28 degrees all of a sudden and I started looking for my shorts, I immediately realized that my legs were hlariously white. So the same night I grabbed this creme at the store.
And I never regretted doing so ever since.

My worst fear was that it would not give the same tone to all my body. I feared that the teint would be dark at one pot and really light at other spots.  The first morning after using it I was scared to look in the mirror. But when I finally did it, I  was really happy. The teint looked natural and it wasn't to dark.
My second fear was that it would start fading away in visible spots. But I was proved wrong again. All in all, I am really glad I put this product in my basket.

How about you? Do you ever use self-tanner? What is your fav product?

Hello Hydration

To be honest, I have neglected my hair lately. So it needed urgent help.
I heard  and read good things about  the Inecto Naturals hello hydration coconut hair treatment so I decided to give it a try.

First of all, I love the odour. And the  organic coconut oil  did the best with my hair. When I first put it on, I thought it will make my hair 'heavy' but when I washed it away, I immediately felt that it won't be the case.
The hair ends looked much more beautiful and healthy even after one treatment. My hair feels soft and is well- managable. The only thing that did not meet my expectations  was the shine. I expected that it would give my hair more shine. Maybe next time I will try their hair oil which promises lovely shine.

And top all that the box says: "We beleive in naturals. We have no unnecessary nasties. We are not tested on animals. We are vegan friendly." Pempering for the heart.

Schüssler

We all know that minerals are really important for our bodies. Any imbalance of the essential vital minerals can lead to dysfunction. Although mineral salts are present in our food, our bodies (would) often need more of them.
As for me, I use Dr. Schüssler Salts to harmonize and regulate the chemical processes in my body. Dr. Schüssler based his therapy on a total of 12 mineral salts, which he called “functional substances”, because they perform essential functions in our body. And currently I do not only use them in the form of salts but also in cosmetics.
Here are the products I am currently using:

Deep Hydration Facial Scrub:
perfectly cleansing, optimally strong

Schüssler Natural Selection Nr. 11, Rejuvenating Mousteriser:
instant effect

Schüssler Natural Selection Nr. 1: Improve Skin Elasticity:
the perfect morning creme

How about you? Have you ever tried any Schüssler products?

Garnier vs. Nivea

In an older post I mentioned you how much I love Garnier's Oil Beauty Nourishing Scrub. Not much later I received the Oil Beauty creme as a gift from my sister. And again it was love at first use. It is rich but is absorbed by the skin in  few seconds. The argan oil nourishes my skin perfectly but does not leave a fatty feel behind. And last but not least, I also love the odour.

I also received Nivea's creme peeling from my sister. If you like using a "light" body scrub every day, it is the perfect product for you.  But if you prefer using a scrub that contains harder particles and which you do not have to use every day,  this product may not be the one for you.

How about you?
Have you tried any new products lately?

Thanks for reading!

Artistry

A few weeks ago I got Artistry essential products to know thanks to one of my friends.

I purchased the basic box with a balancing cleaner, toner and lotion.
The cleaner cleans away all the make up in really just a few seconds and the toner smooths and makes my skin really vivid. I love these products and use them every morning and evening.
As for the lotion, it is perfect for morning use because it absorbed by the skin in - no kidding - 5 seconds and you can immediately use your foundation. They say it is enough for evening use as well but as for me, it is not really enough for the night. I usually use oils for the night, otherwise my skin would be really dry.

How about you? Have you tried a new product recently that you really liked?

Thanks for your comments. They are really appriciated.

Body Scrub

Show me anything with Argan oil and I will buy it.

Well, that has been kind of my motto lately so when I found Garnier's body scrub with Argan oil I immediately purchased it. And it was no disappointment. The scent and the effect are both perfect. It is definitely a product I will re-purchase.

Have you got a favoutite body scrub?
